I listen to or post here aren’t usually decided by my current mood/feelings. So I would like to start off by saying that this song, the first actually happy song, is a song that accurately reflects the state of my emotions, as I’m a very happy human being.
True to the artist’s name, this song has the innocent vibe of a twenty year old all over it. In Korea, they often use the word “썸” (Ssum) to describe that slight awkward yet romantic tension between two people before they date. It literally translates to “something”, kind of like “there’s something between him and her.” It’s the time when both of you fret over
small comments and lose sleep over the slightest of compliments. As I get older, I feel myself slowly losing some of the innocence… Reality and practicality becomes a legitimate concern.
As in the song, I wish I could randomly show up in front someone’s house and tell her to come out and walk with me, not having to worry about anything else. Blindly liking someone for who they are.
Simply listening to the song sort takes me into that position, and makes me feel giddy inside.
