My mom visited for Christmas. I haven’t seen her in about a year and a half. You get used to it.

The worst part about living in New Jersey is that there’s absolutely nothing to do. Since she was only here for a week, we tried our best to get out of this painfully uneventful state as much as we could. My mom’s really into museums, something I definitely don’t take after. Well, I do try to visit once in awhile, and I’ll probably be at the MFA this weekend, but let’s say we appreciate different things, and we often just split up and go our own ways once we’re there. During last week’s visit to MoMA, however, I got things my way. Maybe it’s because we only had to pay $5 for the three of us, but we didn’t feel obligated to go through the entire place, and agreed on going through only one floor.
Why are there so many people… Anyways, I think for every time I visit a museum from now on, I’m going to choose two artworks: the shower and the grower. The shower will be the piece that seems good only at first glance, and the grower will be the one that… well, grows on me.
