When the storm pours on the backyard
Here I am, thinking of you
When the moon hides behind the clouds
Here I am, thinking of you
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to tread the blinding skies
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to lose myself in the fleeting moment
When I have no one but myself
Here I am, thinking of you
When I hide away under my blankets
Here I am, thinking of you
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to tread the blinding skies
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to lose myself in the fleeting moment
In this lightless room
Filled with my own clustered thoughts
My two eyes won’t stay closed
Until they see the end of this dawn
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to tread the blinding skies
Tomorrow, with you
I’d like to lose myself in the fleeting moment
(Lose myself)
When the dawn passes
The sun rises
And the darkness finally fades
I stare into the distance
Where you stand and wave
hi, I’m a koran and I was looking for a translation of this song in English to introduce this song to my boyfriend. I’d like to know how did you translate it with subtle meanings because there are some expressions which are slightly different from original lyrics in Korean. For example, you’ve translated ‘눈부시게 투명한 낮을 걷고 싶어’ into ‘I’d like to tread the blinding skies’. But with every single word, it would be ”I’d like to tread the sparkling, transparent daytime’. Maybe you have changed the lyrics slightly since it’s hard to make it with every single subtle meaning… Read more »
Hello Eunkyung! To be honest, my translations are heavily dependent on my mood and how many glasses of wine I’ve had :P . All joking aside, I tend to take lyricism over literalness, so you’ll often find my translation not match up perfectly with the Korean lyrics.
