So about a week ago, I went into the city (New York) to hang out with my new friend (GA).
We first stopped by Whitney museum to look at some awe inspiring… black squares.. and red squares.
After we were done basking in the glory of modern art, we walked over to Chinatown for lunch and Gundam shopping (Yessss).
The shop was pretty small and full of provocative anime figures (definitely not why I enjoyed my visit). The owner was
pretty busy watching his Japanese drama, so we were able to choose out our Gundams in relative peace. I decided to go
with the mini Gundam as I have recently built two regular-sized ones, and I just couldn’t resist the “chibi”-ness of it.
This is the Gundam I chose. Doesn’t it look cute.
And this is the Charmander. It happened to remind me of someone… and I had to get it.
To be honest, I bought it as a gift for my baby cousin… but it was too tempting that I had to make it.
Sorry cousin .
This was a real hard decision to make… I ended up going with the first one, but I was seriously considering the ^^.
Completed! I got so into making it that I forgot to take pictures. Apparently there are two other forms
it can transform into, but I liked this one the best (or I just got lazy). Now onto the Charmander!
I thought 110 pieces would be more than this, but oh well.
Halfway done. I started to feel like a 3D printer going from bottom to top layer by layer.
Both of the final products together! Aren’t they adorable? I was a little worried I would finish building them
too quickly, but it turned out to be quite challenging and fun. Lesson learned: Size doesn’t matter.

And to think making these would make me happy… Do you guys see that bottom platform?
Do you see what’s wrong with it? No, it does not go the other way; the platform is a square.
Like why? Who does this? What kind of sick minded person would make the platform uneven? WHY?
So I improvised… I’m still not too happy about this though. It’s honestly the only thing that is stopping
me from buying Squirtle and Bulbasaur… but I know I’m going to end up buying them anyways.
